Ariana Grande's Perfect PR Move


This past Saturday, pop sensation Ariana Grande hosted Saturday Night Live. Aside from being an iconic show and a true honor to host for any celebrity, the show serves as the perfect platform for promoting a new film or album (a wonderful and beneficial PR move).

The latest example of this would be Ariana Grande's intentional PR move to host SNL, be the show's musical guest, and release her new single the day before. Because it was the singer's first time hosting, the hype around the show was already heightened. However, her highly-anticipated album and the newly-dropped single helped catapult the song's sales, allowing the single to the Top 10 list on iTunes.

This strategic move by Grande's team allowed for the media to, not only cover her hosting SNL but her new music as well. Once again, the media coverage, aligned with the hype of her hosting, was the driving force behind the success of this music/media campaign.
